Al Carroll commits libel 11 times.

Here is a response to Al Carroll's article that he posted on August 6th, 2007 on many internet groups and the real reason why is website was taken of line.

LIBEL 1
Dr. Al Carroll: "New Age Frauds Plastic Shamans or NAFPS, located online at Newagefraud.org has been shut down temporarily due to the lies and libel by an English New Age racist, John Lekay, editor of Heyoka Magazine. Lekay is a leading promoter of New Age exploitation and colonialism and seeks to dominate Native spiritual traditions, especially Lakota religion, by promoting a series of fringe characters, all the while silencing Native voices."

John LeKay: Libel Number 1.

New age fraud was shut down by their own choice. They were asked to remove the egregious libel concerning myself and were given 4 and a half days to do so. They chose to shut down their own site rather than remove the libel. Rather than say he was caught red handed lying, this is his attempt at blame shifting. I am definitely not a racist either. This is just another desperate attempt of his predictable mud slinging and playing the race card.

I have never tried to silence anyone's voice or promoted New Age exploiters. Interviewing various people and asking objective questions to access the truth is not promoting them. Al Carroll's inability to make a distinction between a message and the messenger is his fault not mine and if anything only reveals his lacking in critical discernment skills.

In answer to the charge of silencing all the native voices across the US? In reality, what I have done is the exact opposite and provided a platform for their voices could be heard. So that the injustices, human rights abuses, the environmental issues, the poverty and the rest are disseminated as wide as possible, through Heyoka magazine, links and list servers.

LIBEL 2
Dr Al Carroll: "Mr Lekay joined the Newagefraud. org forum a few weeks ago and tried to bully its members into withdrawing our criticism of New Age racism, exploitation, sexual abuse, and greed and commercialism."

John LeKay: Libel Number 2. I asked for evidence of proof that these people accused were "frauds, perverts, sham-ons, feces, rapists, lost wonder breads, perverts, exploiters". I asked Al Carroll and his group to substantiate their claims, email gossip, hearsay, speculation and assumptions. For doing so, I was viciously attacked by Al Carroll and one or two others and was called a child, racist, insane, rambler, cross dresser, conspiracy theorist, ignorant, propagator of genocide and pedophile interviewer and more; on various forums such as http://www.indianz.com etc.

LIBEL 3
Al Carroll: "When we refused to back down, Lekay became abusive, arrogant, childish, and attacked our members, misrepresented the position of Newagfraud.org and the respected Native elders we support, and used foul and abusive language with elderly members, even repeatedly comparing Native elders who oppose the New Age movement to mass murderers."

John LeKay: Libel Number 3. Again this is not true and in reference to Tachia Hawk. The woman that called Looking Back Woman and Mala Spotted Eagle frauds, sham ons, feces, lost wonder bread children. No foul language was used by myself. Not even once.

LIBEL 4.
Al Carroll: "The moderators banned Lekay for his abusive behavior."

JL: Libel Number 4. I was banned from NAFPS because I would not react to his abusive name calling. When all else failed and Al Carroll saw he was miserably loosing the debate, he hit the delete button. He also banned me because they could not provide me with substantiated evidence of some of the people they were accusing as frauds, perverts and more. As far as posting emails of accusing Mala Spotted Eagle of being a rapist on NAFPS and calling him one on indianz.com; I investigated this and found out he was never charged in Europe of rape. This was complete fabrication and libel.

LIBEL 5
Al Carroll: "He responded by contacting our host with more misrepresentations and false accusations, demanding we take off criticism of him or the New Age exploiters he promoted. When we refused, our host, which has changed owners, shut us down."

John LeKay: Libel Number 5. I only contacted the POW WEB hosting company after seeing more libel about accusing me of being people I was not on the NAFPS site and more libel like saying I was making a film to smear Arvol Looking Horse and more. Once again, Al Carroll was graciously given 48 hours to remove the libel, and then an extra two and a half days. In total 4 and a half days. He self sabotaged his own site by not listening to his own hosting company. He not only didnt remove this libel, but he then posted his own web hosting company's lawyer's warning letter and my confidential letter online. He then allowed more comments and threats about this letter by others, like posting this letter on http://www.indianz.com. Such as having me" torn apart by Pit Bulls and Dobermans".

This is considered harassment and in violation of his terms of service.

Harassment can result from the language used, or the frequency or size of a message. Hate speech or literature includes, but is not limited to, anything that prejudices, creates a hostile bias or grossly defames a group. Al Carroll obviously violated Pow Web's terms of service and his legal contact by indulging in libel, harassment, intimidation, prejudice, maliciousness, defamatory comments etc.

I can easily prove this libel and that's why he was taken offline. The same way I can easily prove that what he states in this artilce is also libel. He did this to himself. This situation could have easily been remedied. I never asked for his site to be removed. I simply asked for a remedy to remove this libel and my private home address, street address, from his site.

LIBEL 6
Al Carroll: "Lekay has also contacted many people by e-mail, trying to obtain their support, which failed miserably. The only support he found was from a notorious white supremacist posing as part Comanche, David Yeagley, and one of his leading supporters, a violent racist named John Martin who has issued a number of death threats."

John LeKay: Libel Number 6. John Martin is a full blood Lakota and not a white supremacist, who had photos of his wife and two small children posted by Al Carroll on his website. I have never heard of a a full blood Indian being a white supremacist. That's like saying an African American is a white supremacist. It defies all logic and common sense. This seems to be the pattern. That anyone who disagrees with Al Carroll or questions his authority is labeled a racist, a white supremacist, fraud, child, insane, ignorant, paranoid, dangerous, violent, pervert, rapist, pedophile interviewer, cross dresser, wing nut, loon, crackpot, Rasptuin (his latest label for me) and much worse. It also seems that when he can't use logic during a debate, he reverts to name calling as if he is a gang member; not a PhD college professor.

LIBEL 7
Al Carroll: "Lekay uses his Heyoka Magazine to publish several libelous articles about Dr Al Carroll, one of the founders of NAFPS, and Annika Banfeld the director of a Swedish charity for Native children who also helped produce a film against the exploitation of American Indian spirituality."

John LeKay: Libel Number 7. These articles are interviews with Jimmy La Vallee, who was slandered and libeled by Al Carroll, and Robin, an ex NAFPS member and respected NA elder who was also attacked by him. Also an interview with Thomas Lightning Bolt. Also an article questioning Al Carroll's claims of being a Mescalero apache.

LIBEL 8
Al Carroll: "Lekay is an ignorant, paranoid, and dangerous man who stated publicly he believed American Indians still live in tipis."

John LeKay: Libel Number 8. I have never stated that NAs live in Tipis. This is pure ludicrousness and more mendacity. Another absolute lie!

LIBEL 9
Al Carroll: "He smears all who disagree with him as FBI and RMCP agents, or even tools of Bush and Cheney."

John LeKay: Libel Number 9. I asked Barnaby McEwan ( "Alternative" English man residing in Totnes Devon England and NAFPS administrator) if he was in the FBI after he was attacking Kevin Annett and his film "unrepentant". As far as I know, only one other person has attempted to stop this film other than these agencies, other than Al Carroll. So it seems Dr. Al Carroll, the FBI and the RMCP have a lot in common in silencing the genocide, rape and molestation of 50,000 Canadian native children. Al Carroll: "Lekay is spending huge sums of his own money to produce a film promoting the replacement of Arvol Looking Horse with Suzanne Dupree AKA "Looking Back Woman", an ex hairdresser who has been off the reservation for nearly twenty year yet claims to be the "true" possessor of the Lakota sacred pipe."

John LeKay: Libel Number 10. This is pure 100 percent libel again. I do not even know Louie Lawless the filmmaker. I interviewed him once last year. I never met Looking Back Woman and also interviewed her last year and have zero to do with this film - Absolutely NOTHING! This is another reason why he was kicked of his site since this can easily be proved by asking the filmmaker Louie Lawless himself. Any web hosting lawyer can send him an email and find this out.

LIE 1) Al Carroll: The latest news is that Lekay is apparently making a film about Dupree, a full length feature devoting to smearing Looking Horse. And Lekay is backing the film entirely with his own money. He sent out a series of press releases only last month promoting it.

LIE 2) So it seems that Lekay was lying the entire time he was here. He is not disinterested or nonpartisan as he repeatedly claimed, even though everyone saw through that right away. He is the one who is out to protect his investment in a film. Monday Aug 6th, 2007 9:45 PM

LIBEL 11
Al Carroll: "Lekay and Dupree have white European New Age supporters presently spreading libel and lies about Looking Horse and his planned trip to Europe to speak against New Age exploiters. While falsely accusing Looking Horse of seeking to sell the sacred pipe to European whites, some of these same European whites themselves are ceremony sellers and promoters of New Age frauds like "Rainbow Eagle" and the so called "Deer Tribe."

John LeKay: Libel Number 11. I have no European supporters or any idea who "Rainbow Eagle" is or this "Deer Tribe". This is more of the same libel and misinformation.
